Who the hell am I
I’m Daniel Laurean — a Mexican-born, U.S.-raised, Finland-living husband, father of two, storyteller, and relentless question-asker. I host the Collective Project Podcast, a space where I sit down with people who are shaping culture, policy, education, and identity, and together, we pull on the threads that make us human.
My guests range from music producers and triathlete professors to mental health advocates, regenerative farmers, and legendary football coaches. Some episodes explore masculinity and fatherhood in the modern world. Others unpack meat production systems, education reform, or the psychology of adolescence. The common thread? Curiosity, depth, and the pursuit of better questions.
I started this podcast to learn. Not to lecture. I want to know:
How do we raise stronger, more grounded kids?
What happens to a society when fatherhood disappears?
Can food systems actually heal land, not destroy it?
What are we getting wrong about young men, education, or tech?
My guests include:
Will Harris from White Oak Pastures, on regenerative agriculture and fighting Big Meat
Henri Hyttinen from Miessakit ry, on men’s mental health and emotional honesty
Sanna-Maria Siintoharju, a triathlete and Finland’s first professor of regenerative thinking
Casey Johns of Yellow Dog Studios, on creativity, chaos, and building a life around sound
And coming soon: leading thinkers like Mads Larsen(Stories of Love, From Vinkings to Tinder) and Robert Glover, on Nice Guy Syndrome.
I’m not trying to go viral. I’m trying to grow wiser. And if you’re into real, sometimes messy, often transformative conversations — welcome. This space is for you.
